SQL developer, now working with Microsoft Fabric.
I have worked with T-SQL and SQL Server for nine years. I live in London.
What I work with
Core
I write T-SQL stored procedures, views and functions, and I tune slow queries by reading execution plans and fixing indexes. I also schedule SQL Agent jobs and manage changes across Dev, Test and Production.
Data tooling
I build ETL and reporting with SSIS, SSRS, Informatica and Azure Data Factory, and I help analysts with Power BI. I use Python with Pandas for scripts.
Microsoft Fabric
I have built a lakehouse, a warehouse and a pipeline in Fabric while preparing for the DP-700 exam.
Languages
I speak English, French, Italian, Romanian and Spanish fluently.
Selected work
I leave client names out.
-
ETL runtime from 2.5 hours to 11 minutes
A client ETL job took 2.5 hours to run. I optimised the SQL, improved the workflow logic and tuned performance until it ran in 11 minutes, which made SLA delivery far more reliable.
-
Compensation database migration
I migrated a client compensation database to a newer platform version. Data integrity was kept in full and operations were not disrupted.
-
From 5 or 6 SLA incidents a week to 2 or 3 a month
I owned the ETL pipelines and warehouse routines. I worked with the development and implementation teams and improved Informatica workflows and SQL stored procedures.
-
First fully automated mailing campaign
I scripted the company's first fully automated mailing campaign inside one stored procedure. It imported client requirements from files, processed the data and exported the output files.
